Course ReflectionStarting this course was just an act of responsibility in making sure that I had at least some art credit before starting my senior year in the fall. From the beginning of my time, I have lacked the ability to create anything originally in my own mind; in other words, I suck at creativity and using my imagination. I prefer to be given a purpose and to run with it which is why I progress in English so well. I thought it was time to try something new and to use my advanced abilities to create something with a prompt and take it to the next level. This course was a huge leap out of my comfort zone but I do not regret it. Desktop Publishing has given me the ability to break into the depths of creativity that have been hidden from me my whole life and I do say that I am pretty good at using it. Having the opportunity to be self-paced in each assignment, gave the class an even more positive outlook; time for creativity to flow was never a problem, which is why I personally have advanced in this class. Although I struggled in the beginning in finding confidence in my artistic abilities, Mrs. Meyer provided a comfortable and open environment that allowed each student to blossom in their own way. On top of her being a superstar in this particular class, she juggles multiple different subjects throughout her day that she shines in as well. I have never heard anything ill about Mrs. Meyer proving that her abilities to separate professional and personal relationships are always positive and are integrated together at the same time to provide comfort with each of her students. This class is an amazing opportunity to discover new nooks within yourself that you had no idea about and the opportunity to build a relationship with a wonderful woman that has major effect on you as a person, positively of course. I proudly recommend this course to anyone, even those who are not savvy in using the right side of their brains!
